What You'll Do:
Office Work:
Conduct and oversee diverse types of Surveys, including Boundary, Topography, ALTA/NSPS, Construction Staking, Bathymetric, Drone, 3D Scanning, etc.
Plan, coordinate, and manage survey projects to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets
Communicate with coworkers and clients to understand their overall needs, provide updates, and deliver high-quality service
Complete Health and Safety Plan (HASP) prior to field crew performing site work
Prepare, review, and interpret legal documents, including deeds, plats, and easements
Ensure all survey activities comply with state and local regulations and standards. Uphold ethical and professional standards
Utilize advanced surveying equipment and software to collect and analyze data, ensuring precision and accuracy. Keep up on the latest technology advancements, regulations, and emerging technologies in land surveying
Mentor and train junior surveyors and technicians, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment
Field Work:
Conduct on-site surveys using GPS, total stations, and other surveying instruments
Collect accurate field data and ensure proper documentation
Maintain and calibrate survey equipment to ensure optimal performance
Address and resolve any issues encountered in the field
What you bring:
HS Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a Surveying program preferred
Must be eligible to obtain a PLS license within 6 months of hire; PLS license already obtained preferred
Minimum of 6 years' experience in professional surveying
Proficient in survey-related equipment, including but not limited to GPS, Robotic Total Stations, 3D Scanners, Drones, etc.
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRoads, and other survey-related software
Current FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot’s License preferred
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead by example
Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains
Must have a valid driver's license
Salary Range:
The starting salary for this position is $80,000, with final compensation determined based on qualifications and licensing status.
