Join our team as a Survey Crew Chief, where you'll lead surveying operations with state-of-the-art technology. We are seeking a motivated individual with expertise in one-man field operations using robotic total stations and RTK GPS. Projects typically involve mapping and property work to include the integration of drone-based aerial along with some construction stakeout. This position is in Wilmington, DE.

What You'll Do:
Perform precise surveying for land development, boundary, and topographic projects
Ability to plan and perform field activities based on a specific scope
Maintain and operate surveying instruments, including robotic total stations and GPS
Collect and analyze field data; understand accuracy requirements
Upload and process data for use in AutoCAD or other aerial processing software
Ensure safety and accuracy in all field operations
Ability to train others and take direction
Daily record-keeping including both survey and administrative
What You Bring:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred
4+ years of experience as a Party Chief in land surveying
Proficiency with robotic total stations, RTK GPS, and data collectors
Familiarity with CAD or GIS software is a plus
Part 107 Drone Pilots License a plus
Ability to work independently or with a team
Strong knowledge of boundary, topographic, and construction surveys
Ability to interpret technical drawings and transfer data
Must be able to adapt to new industry technologies as they arise
Must be able to work in an outdoor environment. Outdoor environment subject to uneven terrain, dirt, varying temperatures, weather conditions, and noise
Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 80 lbs. occasionally with or without an accommodation, sometimes over substantial distances
Occasional overnight travel required
Ability to obtain a security clearance is a plus
Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a driving record check
Salary Range:
The compensation range starts at $29 hourly and is based on the position, experience, and licensures.
