Job Description:

Summary
The position of hotshot driver will assist in the daily duties involving hotshot work. This position will report to the Shop Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Complete required paperwork relating to loads
  • Execute pre-trip inspection on hotshot truck daily. Perform duties such as: check oil, check air pressure in tires, assure truck is in working order, etc.
  • Hook up and unhook truck to trailer
  • Assure all paperwork is in order for deliveries and drop offs
  • Secure load on trailer using ratchet straps to belly wrap
  • Deliver equipment to locations
  • Follow traffic laws while traveling to locations
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in oilfield preferred
  • Valid Class-A CDL required
  • Must have Hazmat Endorsement
  • Driving/Backing trailer experience
  • Must be familiar with Bakken oilfield locations and safety
  • Willing to work long hours and weekend
  • Must be able to communicate with crew and supervisors
  • Average reading and writing, ability to read location directions and prepare tickets and reports accurately
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Basic math skills
  • Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
  • Detail oriented, accurate record keeping
  • Well organized
