Job Description:

Job Summary
The DGB Specialist supports the organization’s duel fuel initiative by working with Field Maintenance Technicians to assess and repair the Dynamic Gas Blend (DGB) fleets; trains the Maintenance team on diagnostics and repair of DGB pumps; and provides mentoring and coaching to lesser experience team members.

Responsibilities

  • Drive efficient blending performance on location with little direct supervision

  • Apply advanced technical skill and knowledge to identify non-blending engines and make accurate assessments to build a plan for repairs

  • Assist maintenance team members with technical issues or advanced problems during repairs or diagnoses

  • Maintain a fully stocked parts-kit for impromptu repair needs and training on-site technicians

  • Keep consistent attention on all factors that affect gas blending performance

  • Provide mentoring and coaching to lesser experienced team members

  • Assist with the planning and preparation of training for maintenance team members

  • Evaluate field failure reports for all unit repairs

  • Follow Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) to ensure safe, effective, and timely completion of equipment maintenance and repair

  • Maintain the organization’s standard for work practices, repair times, and safety-first culture

  • Maintain current and accurate knowledge of organizational polices as outlined in the Employee Handbook

  • Safely drive a company vehicle day or night, on various road types, and in all weather conditions

  • Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ hydraulic fracturing equipment maintenance experience, or equivalent, preferred

  • Technical associate degree, preferred

  • High school education or equivalent, required

  • Maintaining a current, valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, required

  • Must have advanced knowledge of hydraulic fracturing equipment repairs and functions

  • Ability to use simple mathematical calculations

  • Must have good presentation skills and can effectively pass on knowledge to others in a learning environment

  • Safety conscious, observant, and willing to use stop work authority when necessary

  • Must be physically able to safely perform duties during a 12+ hour work shift that will include days, nights, holidays, and weekends

  • Must be physically able to safely operate a company vehicle day or night, on all road types, and in all weather conditions

  • Must be physically able to safely perform duties in all weather conditions including extreme heat or cold

  • Must be physically able to remain alert and safe during exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, airborne particles, and moderate to loud noises

  • Must be physically able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, walk on uneven surfaces, and climb equipment ladders or stairs throughout the work shift

  • Must be physically able to safely lift or move 50 lbs. without assistance
