What You Will Do:

As Insurance Manager at Onni Group, you will oversee risk management and insurance programs across our U.S. and Canadian real estate portfolios. This role ensures comprehensive, compliant coverage aligned with business needs, while supporting real estate and construction operations with accurate documentation and insurance coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Program Management: Lead insurance strategy for property, liability, builder’s risk, cyber, and environmental lines. Oversee renewals, pricing, and regulatory compliance. Manage insurance for development and property operations.

Claims Handling: Oversee claims from reporting to resolution. Coordinate with teams and adjusters to minimize losses and implement risk mitigation strategies.

Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as primary contact for brokers and internal teams. Align coverage with acquisitions, development, and capital projects across regions.

Risk & Compliance: Conduct risk assessments and advise on jurisdiction-specific requirements. Maintain centralized, audit-ready insurance records.

Financial Oversight: Manage insurance budgets and allocations. Partner with accounting for cost reconciliation.

Contract Review: Ensure proper insurance clauses in leases, construction, and JV agreements. Support risk transfer strategies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or related field; ARM/CPCU preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. and Canadian insurance markets; global experience a plus.
• Experience in real estate or construction insurance operations.
• Skilled in insurance tracking systems and claims management tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
