POSITION SUMMARY

The Order Fulfillment Operations Lead position is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing the timely fulfillment of outbound shipments and the put-away of inbound inventory. This role provides direct leadership to a team of warehouse associates, with responsibility for setting daily priorities, monitoring performance, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. This position serves as a key operational resource, ensuring that all order fulfillment activities meet internal quality standards, service level agreements, and customer expectations. The Lead acts as a liaison between departments, supports team development, and works to maintain daily operational continuity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Perform activities associated with shipping goods and materials.
  • Participate in cycle counts and apply industry standard inventory control practices.
  • Organizes and maintains a clean, safe and efficient work environment.
  • Prioritize and oversee the daily assignments for up to 12 team members.
  • Leads and facilitates daily and periodic team meetings
  • Leads employee training, performance coaching, and on-the-job support.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert in support of process design, procedure and work instructions.
  • Develops and uses reporting and data in decision making.
  • Leverages warehouse management systems, operating systems and standard industry technology to pick, pack, ship and transact inventory.
  • Works largely independently to manage assigned responsibilities and operational needs.
  • Operates light industrial equipment. 
  • Collaborates cross functionally in support of TMDX and department goals.
  • Supports and engages in the Organization’s Lean, Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence initiatives.
  • Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions and regulatory requirements and immediately informing management of any safety, equipment or process concerns. 
  • Acts and interacts in a way that exemplifies the expectations of TMDX leadership.
  • Perform other TMDX tasks and duties as required. 

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position will not have management responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS                                                   

  • High School Degree or equivalent.
  • 5 years’ experience working in a stockroom/warehouse, or equivalent experience. 
  • 5 years’ experience working with MRP/ERP/WMS systems. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree
  • 3 years’ previous experience in a leadership role working in a stockroom or warehouse.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions and procedures.
  • Intermediate or above Microsoft Suite skill set.  
  • Lean Yellow Belt
  • Experience contributing to or writing SOP and WI.
  • Experience with Waterfall, SCRUM, Agile or similar project management methods.

TransMedics is committed to equitable and transparent compensation. The expected hourly rate for this role is $27.55-$43.13, which represents the company’s current good-faith estimate of compensation for this position. Actual hour rate will depend on factors such as, but not limited to, candidate experience, qualifications, skills, and the specific work location. Hourly roles may also be eligible for overtime, shift differentials, incentive programs, and our comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, retirement savings, paid time off, and wellness resources).
