Job Description:
Airtron is seeking a dynamic Recruiter with a strong customer-focused mindset to join our Human Resources Team! This role is a hybrid role located in Houston, TX and will work remotely 2 days per week. The Recruiter is jointly responsible for delivering a high-quality candidate experience while supporting high-volume hourly and technical trade recruiting across multiple business locations. This individual will proactively partner with Recruiters, Hiring Managers, and HR Business Partners to meet business needs, identify opportunities for process improvement, and troubleshoot recruiting workflow or system issues as they arise. The Recruiter will place qualified candidates with urgency, build a diverse and sustainable talent pipeline, and ensure the efficient movement of candidates through the full recruitment lifecycle.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for candidate questions and overall candidate experience throughout the recruiting process.
- Partner with hiring manager, interviewers and candidates to schedule interviews across departments, handling last-minute scheduling changes.
- Strategize with hiring managers to create compelling job offers aligned with market conditions and operational needs.
- Build and maintain a diverse candidate pipeline for current and future hiring needs.
- Actively and passively source candidates using multiple channels, including Indeed, LinkedIn, job boards, ATS pipelines, referrals, and targeted trade sourcing strategies.
- Manage high-volume hourly recruiting while maintaining responsiveness, quality, and compliance.
- Source, screen, and hire for skilled and technical trade roles (e.g., HVAC, installation, field operations, and other hourly technical positions).
- Develop strong relationships with hiring managers and HRBPs to assess needs, identify key talent, screen candidates, and provide creative and data driven recommendations for hard to fill roles.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify recruiting challenges and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency, speed, and candidate quality.
- Build relationships and partnerships with trade schools, colleges, universities, and workforce development organizations.
- Conduct telephone, virtual, and face to face interviews to assess candidate qualifications and fit.
- Manage candidate relationships at a professional level and deliver world class candidate experience.
- Screen candidates on behalf of hiring managers and provide hiring recommendations.
- Continuous network and pipeline to identify a broad and diverse external talent slate.
- Maintain accurate, compliant, and well-organized documentation in the ATS for all candidates, requisitions, and recruiting activities.
- Manage job postings, job board integrations, and ATS workflows; identify and troubleshoot system or process issues impacting recruiting effectiveness.
- Partner with HR and system stakeholders to support ATS optimization, integrations, and ongoing process improvements.
- Actively participate in recruiting and staffing related projects and initiatives.
- Perform other HR and Talent Acquisition related duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
- Open office environment.
- Hybrid, onsite 3 days per week
- West Houston location
- Some overtime required as special projects arise.
- Travel as required to job fairs, locations, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2+ years of proven work experience as a Recruiter in a high-volume, multi-site environment
- Experience supporting high-volume hourly recruiting environments- construction, hospitality, retail
- Hands-on experience with sourcing techniques (e.g. recruiting on social platforms and crafting Boolean search strings).
- Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs) and Candidate Management Systems (CMSs).
- Experience managing job postings across multiple job boards (e.g., Indeed, LinkedIn).
- Experience cold calling and candidate assessment through in-depth phone screens/interviews.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be a team player and be flexible and adaptable to rapid change.
- Outstanding client service orientation and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with all levels of management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience working in Workday Applicant Tracking System, system optimization experience strongly preferred.
- 1 year of experience with strategic sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Database, ATS Pipelining.
- 1+ year of experience sourcing for roles in an organization with multiple office locations in different states throughout the country.
- AIRS or SourceCon certification.

- Strong understanding of recruiting operations, workflows, and best practices.
- Ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend or implement process improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot recruiting process or system issues.
- Familiarity with DOL and EEOC laws and regulations.
- Understanding of U.S. work authorization requirements.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a high‑volume environment.

Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally requires lifting as appropriate to perform duties and responsibilities
- Frequently required to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
- Visual acuity to review a volume of online resumes and compare to job requirements
- Must be able to lift/move up to 10 pounds frequently
- Must be able to drive and operate a motorized passenger vehicle
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks/respirators, reflective safety vests, gloves and safety toe, construction-grade work boots
- Must be able to adhere to long periods of standing, walking or sitting
- Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and/or other sounds to operate phones or other equipment safely.
- With natural or corrected vision, able to see and focus for close, distance, peripheral vision with normal depth perception
- Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to others
- Ability to enter text or data into a computer by means of a traditional keyboard or 10-key numeric keypad
