Job Description: 

We are looking for an accomplished and seasoned Controller to join our organization. The selected candidate will lead the Management Company’s Global Accounting, Finance, and Operations functions, ensuring precise financial closings, adherence to regulatory requirements, and alignment with strategic business goals. This role will direct a high-performing team and work collaboratively across departments, including Tax, SEC Reporting, Accounting Policy, and FP&A.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the global financial close process, overseeing an experienced team of 70+ onshore and offshore professionals.
• Direct the company’s controllership operations across all regions and subsidiaries, including revenues, expenses, investments, fixed assets, debt, accounts payable and other accounting functions.
• Oversee general ledger and financial systems management, including ongoing development and integration of supporting applications.
• Manage the global consolidation and preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, IFRS, and other applicable standards.
• Provide strategic oversight of ERP and other applications (e.g., Oracle, Workday) and financial reporting tools (e.g., Workiva), ensuring robust, scalable solutions
• Lead system implementations and the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-driven tools, to maximize efficiency and scalability across the organization.
• Drive continuous process improvements to strengthen internal controls, streamline workflows and enhance financial analysis and reporting quality.
• Champion talent development and succession planning by mentoring, coaching, and providing growth opportunities for team members across functions.

Qualifications:

• CPA or equivalent designation required; advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in Accounting/Finance) is preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls frameworks.
• Experience within or a strong understanding of the asset management industry.
• Proven experience in managing the financial close process, audits, and M&A integration.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday) and financial reporting tools (e.g., Workiva, Anaplan).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New Jersey-based position will be $225,000 - $300,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
