The primary role of the Chauffeur is to provides professional, safe, and courteous transportation services for hotel guests. They ensure timely and efficient service while maintaining the highest level of guest satisfaction. The role requires discretion, a thorough knowledge of local roads and attractions, and a commitment to service excellence. While no job description can possibly provide a comprehensive list of job duties, the following is a summary of the major responsibilities for the position.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide a warm, friendly greeting to guests upon pick-up.
Safely transport guests to and from designated locations (airports, restaurants, business meetings, tourist attractions, etc.) in a timely manner.
Assist with loading and unloading guests' luggage, ensuring safe handling.
Maintain awareness of all hotel amenities and local areas of interest to provide recommendations and advice to guests.
Handle guest requests and queries professionally and courteously.
Maintain confidentiality and discretion when transporting VIP or high-profile guests.
Communicate effectively with the hotel’s front office team for pick-up schedules and special requests.
Assist with any special transport arrangements for events, conferences, or guest itineraries.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Valid South Carolina Chauffeur license.
Previous experience as a chauffeur or driver, preferably in a hospitality setting.
Knowledge of local roads, traffic patterns, and major attractions.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift equipment, supplies, etc. of at least 50 pounds.
Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions under pressure.
The role may require extended periods of time on standing, sitting, and driving for extended periods.
Good hearing is necessary for effective communication with colleagues, guests, and stakeholders.
