What You’ll Do:

Data for processing weekly payroll, vacation calendars, correcting and adding missing time punches in our Attendance system for hourly workers and other miscellaneous payroll duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process/ Enter new employees into the time keeping system and track and action related employee status changes

  • Compile and process payroll data such as hours worked, garnishment, taxes, insurance, and union dues to update master payroll records.

  • Process vacation requests/daily absentee forms for scheduling and payment.  Record and maintain vacation / absentee records for all employees.

  • Complete light duty timecards and pay by load

  • Track and process pay/hours department allocations

  • Run/Prepare/Distribute various payroll related reports in Workday and Attendance OnDemand systems

  • Review payroll information to ensure accuracy

  • Prepare, transmit and receive payroll information

  • Maintain strict confidentiality at all times on the data you are exposed to during the payroll process (salaries, garnishments, salary increases etc.)

  • Maintain accurate timekeeping records and related items in the Attendance OnDemand timekeeping system

  • Communicate with the Payroll Supervisor regularly on the status of the weekly payroll, issues that arise while running the payroll and process improvements that can enhance the overall process.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education minimum of a High School Diploma (bachelor’s degree preferred)

  • Experience using Workday (HCM, Payroll and Benefits preferred)

  • Experience with a Time and Attendance System

  • Strong attention to detail, prioritization and organizational skills

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Strong mathematical skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team

  • Payroll processing experience (union and non-union environments)

  • Experience with data entry, record keeping, and computer operation

  • Preparing and delivering accurate reporting

  • Good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively

  • Ability to operate general office equipment (fax, printers, etc.)

  • Other duties as assigned.

Pay: $52,000-$54,000 annually
