Job Description: Marina Manager – Luxury Hotel
Position Overview
The Marina Manager oversees all operations of the hotel-affiliated marina, ensuring exceptional guest service, safe and efficient dock management, and a seamless connection between marina experiences and the hotel’s luxury standards. This role leads the marina team, manages daily dock activities, and cultivates an elevated atmosphere that reflects the hotel’s brand of hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily marina operations, including vessel docking/undocking, slip assignments, fueling coordination, and maintenance of docks, equipment, and guest areas.
- Deliver a luxury-level guest experience by greeting boaters, facilitating special requests, and coordinating with hotel departments (concierge, transportation, F&B, security, housekeeping) for integrated service.
- Supervise, train, and schedule marina staff; uphold service standards, safety procedures, and appearance guidelines aligned with hotel expectations.
- Oversee marina reservations, contracts, billing, and revenue reporting; ensure accurate documentation and adherence to policies.
- Maintain safety protocols, environmental compliance, and emergency response readiness for the marina and surrounding waterfront.
- Collaborate with hotel leadership to develop marina guest programs, VIP services, partnerships, and seasonal offerings.
- Monitor marina inventory, manage vendor relationships, and ensure the cleanliness and presentation of all marina facilities.
- Respond promptly to guest concerns, operational issues, and emergencies, providing solutions that reflect five-star service values.
- Communicate effectively with third party vendors and partners to ensure a seamless experience for our guests
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of marina, waterfront operations, or hospitality management experience; luxury or resort background preferred.
- Strong knowledge of boating operations, maritime safety, and marina compliance standards.
- Excellent leadership, customer service, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, outdoor environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Proficiency with marina management systems, reservation platforms, and basic reporting tools.
- Boater safety certifications or USCG credentials a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods and lift/move items up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Availability for weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts based on marina activity.
