The Flower Shop Manager leads the daily operations of a bespoke floral studio within our luxury property, The Cooper. This role executes floral design and oversees shop management, inventory, and guest service, ensuring every arrangement reflects our brand’s elevated aesthetic and enhances the guest experience.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Floral Design & Creative Direction

  • Create refined, bespoke floral arrangements for guests and patrons.

  • Maintain a cohesive design aesthetic aligned with the property’s luxury standards.

Operations & Inventory

  • Manage the daily operations of the flower shop, ensuring an organized, beautiful, and efficient workspace.

  • Oversee ordering, receiving, and care of florals and supplies with strong attention to freshness and cost control.

  • Develop curated retail offerings such as specialty bouquets and luxury gifting items.

Guest Experience & Service

  • Provide warm, personalized service to guests seeking custom floral pieces or event support.

  • Collaborate with Rooms and Guest Experience teams to elevate guest experiences.

Leadership & Financial Stewardship

  • Lead and develop a team of floral designers and assistants.

  • Manage the shop budget, including forecasting and cost management.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: 

  • At least 5 years of floral design experience.

  • Experience managing operations and inventory in a floral or retail environment.

  • Exceptional taste level, organizational skill, and service mindset.

  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends, holidays, and event schedules.

  • Demonstrated portfolio of refined, modern, and elegant floral design.

  • Strong understanding of floral varieties, seasonality, color theory, conditioning, and longevity techniques.

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., work on ladders, and stand for extended periods.

Safety, Standards, & Compliance

  • Follow all hotel and departmental safety, sanitation, and chemical-handling procedures.

  • Ensure proper storage of hazardous materials and cutting tools.

  • Maintain compliance with fire code regulations for floral installations.
