The Runner Concierge at The Cooper delivers personalized, one-on-one running experiences tailored to each guest's preferred pace, distance, and comfort level. This role blends fitness with hospitality, offering guests a safe, engaging, and memorable way to explore movement while receiving individualized attention. The ideal candidate is an experienced runner with a strong sense of awareness, professionalism, and guest connection.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead personalized runs for guests based on their requested pace, distance, and fitness level.

  • Provide a supportive, engaging, and safe running experience for individuals of varying abilities.

  • Adjust pace and intensity in real time to align with guest comfort and goals.

  • Maintain awareness of surroundings to ensure guest safety throughout each run.

  • Represent The Cooper with professionalism, energy, and a hospitality-first mindset.

  • Build rapport with guests to create a welcoming and memorable wellness experience.

  • Communicate clearly with staff regarding scheduling and guest needs.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Strong running background with the ability to comfortably run at a variety of paces and distances.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fitness, coaching, or a related field preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a guest-focused, service-oriented mindset.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to different fitness levels and preferences.

  • Reliable, punctual, and responsive for on-call scheduling.

  • CPR/AED certification required; must be obtained within one week of hire.
