The Opportunity

Prolegis, along with Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer, is registered as a Formal Law Alliance in Singapore. The alliance creates a "one-stop shop" for clients to access the legal services of each firm – the Singapore law expertise of Prolegis LLC and the international skills of Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer's global network in Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa and the United States.

Our Finance practice in Asia offers our clients a full-service capability across a broad range of debt products, including general corporate lending, acquisition and leveraged finance, syndicated lending, private credit and project finance. We are involved in some of the most complex and high-value cross-border financings in the region, advising across a wide variety of sectors, including energy, mining, technology, infrastructure and renewables.

We regularly act for sponsors, banks, private capital providers and financial institutional investors, and work collaboratively with colleagues across other practice groups and offices within the firm to deliver successful, commercially focused outcomes for our clients.

We are seeking a Finance lawyer to join our Finance & Restructuring practice, based in our Singapore office. While this role is Singapore-based, the successful candidate will be expected to play a key role on cross-border transactions and will work closely with colleagues across our international network, including offices in Australia, Europe, Hong Kong, Jakarta, and London.

  • Excellent drafting skills (with strong attention to detail) and proven transaction management skills, including the ability to lead matters and supervise junior lawyers;

  • Strong communication skills, confidence in liaising directly with clients;

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing competing priorities;

  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach and the ability to work effectively across jurisdictions and practice groups;

  • Have the legal right to live and work in Singapore; and
