Job Title

Production Specialist I

Responsible for the production of high quality ceramic, metallic, and non-metallic products.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of manufactured components to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, blueprints, and quality standards.

  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, profilometers, height gauges, and optical comparators to verify part dimensions and tolerances.

  • Identify surface defects, cracks, chips, and irregularities through visual and mechanical inspection; accurately document results and report deviations to the supervisor or lead.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of quality control standards and actively work to minimize reject rates through consistent inspection practices and communication with production staff.

  • Support quality assurance processes by interpreting control charts and basic statistical process control (SPC) data to monitor production consistency.

  • Perform and record in-process inspections throughout production to ensure parts meet required specifications at each stage.

  • Conduct basic machine and equipment checks to ensure proper operation and report abnormalities or maintenance needs as necessary.

  • Use the manufacturing computer system to enter inspection data, part transfers, and nonconformance reports, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.

  • Follow established safety and cleanliness standards within the inspection and production area.

  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify quality issues and recommend corrective actions when necessary.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support department and company goals.

Schedule:

  • Regular shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM

  • Occasional Friday overtime may be required based on production needs.

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience of 5+ years.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years ceramics manufacturing experience

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • May be able to perform advanced math skills, i.e. algebra, trigonometry.
  • May be required to learn the use and application of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Duties and tasks reflect substantial variety and complexity, requiring extensive knowledge in a wide range of product specific manufacturing processes.
  • Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds

Position Specific Title and Responsibilities (Optional): Position Title

  • Required to complete Measurement and Drawing Basics training or equivalent.

Target Hiring Range

: USD 22.39 - USD 27.07
