JOB SCOPE

At Unilever’s Beauty & Wellbeing (B&W), we lead some of the world’s most iconic brands, including Dove, Sunsilk, Clear, and Vaseline. Critical to enabling this will be expanding Gross Margin to provide fuel to reinvest in growth. This will require a reset in all aspects of our supply chain cost base and cash, for which this role will be critical to unlock value across the procurement and cash space.  

The role brings great exposure across BG and BUs, and will report to the Head of BG SC Finance Beauty and Wellbeing, partnering the Procurement supply chain and value creation teams. They will also be a key member B&W BG Finance leadership team and Global Supply chain Finance Network.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/ DELIVERABLES

Value Creation

• Partner with the Procurement Vice President and their global Leadership Team to shape sourcing strategies that deliver cost savings, resilience, and innovation.• Influence supplier negotiations and investment decisions through robust financial analysis and risk assessment.
• Support make-versus-buy decisions, supplier transitions, and long-term sourcing models.
Performance Management & Value Creation
• Lead forecasting, budgeting, and actuals tracking for procurement spend across B&W.
• Identify and quantify value opportunities (e.g., cost avoidance, cash optimization, inflation mitigation).
• Drive transparency and accountability for procurement KPIs and savings delivery.
Decision Support & Analytics
• Provide financial modelling and scenario planning for strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Use data-driven insights to challenge assumptions and improve decision quality.
• Co-Lead Product Logic and benchmark formulations and cost reduction formulation actions.


Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership
• Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams including R&D, Supply Chain, and Marketing.
• Present insights and recommendations to LT and global category teams.
• Mentor junior finance professionals and contribute to talent development.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in accounting/finance with 5+ years of experience
  • Resilience (ability to cope with time pressure and challenges)
  • High degree of flexibility and ability to quickly understand new topics
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other key stakeholders and business partners
  • Strong engagement, presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to present complex information in a simplified manner (Material insights, link to P&L)
  • Strong analytical skills, Excel modelling skills and attention to detail
  • Creative and innovative

Location 

In September 2020, Unilever announced the intention to build a new sustainable campus site in Kingston, London This site will house some employees who currently work in 100 Victoria Embankment in Blackfriars together with colleagues who are currently located in Lever House in Kingston. We are excited to be creating our own Unilever sustainable, agile work environment. The campus is due to be completed in 2026.

Recruitment Fraud 

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money.In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate. 

 

How is Unilever tackling this? 

Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down. 

 

What can I do?
