As our Residual Room/Service Technician you will be responsible for overseeing activities associated with managing recyclables.

Position Related Duties and Key Functions

  • Own all residual room activities while managing duties associated with recyclable materials staged
    • Ensure corrugate trailer and plastics trailer are loaded appropriately
    • Inventory all recyclable materials and schedule pick-ups (email and BOLs)
    • Contact Republic Services when scrap metal roll off is full for pick up
    • Sort and stage recyclables for pick up
    • Load full broken pallet piece gaylords on recyclable white wood trailer
    • Rinse and load IBC totes on trailer
    • Remove film from stretch wrap cores
    • Order recycle supplies (bale wire, gaylord boxes, roller totes, etc.)
  • Operate/manage plastic baler
  • Maintain recyclable containers on Production floor (clean, replace broken containers, ensure labeled with contents, 5S)
  • GMP of residual room
    • Clean and maintain both inside room and outside by trash compactor and metal recyclable roll off
    • Cleaning includes floors, walls, equipment, secondary containment, etc.
  • Routine basic maintenance and cleaning of floor scrubbers – act as primary contact with Tennant (floor scrubber repair contractor)
  • Collect spent aerosol cans from plant floor, puncture cans and place empty cans in recyclable roll off
  • Notify supervision if witness a residual tank overflow/leak or leak/spill from sanitation chemical tote
  • Break down and/or empty overage packages, concentrate containers into residual tote
  • Dispose of overage or contaminated ingredients in line with guidance from SES Manager
  • Coordinate with shipping on loads for destruction going to Parallel Products
  • Keep emergency egress and eyewash clear (not blocked)
  • Associate to follow all Coca-Cola Life Saving Rules and guidelines within department JHA.
  • Other duties as assigned (i.e. GMP work outside residual room, safety related work, environmental related tasks and/or sustainability efforts)
  • Review & communicate opportunities with departments utilizing disposal within the Residual room.
  • Participate as an active member on the plant Green Team

Education and Qualifications

  • High School, General Education or Equivalent work experience
  • Have ability to work scheduled shift and overtime, weekends, and/ or flexible hours as needed.
  • Have initiative and accountability for the quality and effectiveness of their own work.
  • Have ability to climb, bend and lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Maintain and adhere to all GMP and safety requirements
  • Have ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Have ability to become certified on Powered Industrial Equipment
  • Have ability to operate walk behind and sit-down rider floor scrubbers

Pay Range:

$46,800 - $57,200

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
