(Edit this paragraph for each position) The DC Maintenance Technician is a critical role supporting the Distribution Centers with a focus on safety, productivity, accuracy and reliability. The DC Maintenance Technician evaluates and problem solves building issues, preforms preventative maintenance checks on all equipment/ systems repairing parts as necessary. The DC Maintenance Technician quickly troubleshoots machine issues and has a working knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical components, plumping and overall facilities maintenance. The DC Maintenance Technician provides support to all areas of the DC prioritizing tasks and maintenance efficiently. The maintenance technician is a critical member of the building safety team and has a strong focus on safety and OSHA standards.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform safety inspections daily, monthly, annual
  • Preventative maintenance and repair 
  • Operate and maintain MHE, Floor Scrubber, Manual Pallet Jack
  • Conveyor maintenance & repair
  • Preform janitorial assignments and conduct cleaning assignments to support safe work environment
  • Winter snow removal
  • Waste refuge disposal and clean up
  • Maintain proper appearance of MHE and equipment
  • Monitor and maintain building tools and supplies for maintenance, housekeeping and breakroom facilities
  • Ability to troubleshoot all systems including but not limited to; Dock Levelers, Dock Doors, HVAC, Air Compressor, Cooler, Freezer, Electrical, Plumping etx.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with outside vendors as needed
  • Racking inspections and repair
  • Safe power tool operation
  • Safe operation and execution of Hot Work/ permit procedures/ fire watch
  • Perform diversified duties, emergency and unscheduled repairs of equipment during production
  • Provides support to building departments as needed based on business needs
  • Leads and assists in other projects and performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior maintenance experience required
  • Ability to bend, twist, stretch and push, pull carry, lift up to 50-75 lbs
  • Working in various temperatures
  • Working at various heights (ladders, roof, racking)
  • Comfortable standing and walking for extended period of time
  • Self-motivated detail oriented & ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player ability to identify safety concerns
  • General knowledge of maintenance practices and procedures

Education: High School Diploma, GED. Technical training preferred in HVAC, Electrical, Systems Engineering or similar. OSHA 10 preferred

Experience:

  • Prior Maintenance experience required

  • Must be flexible to work mandatory overtime hours as needed to ensure timely customer delivery.
  • Ability to lift and transport 30 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50-70 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to operate MHE equipment
  • Ability to work at various heights
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk on concrete for the duration of the shift and complete tasks that include bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • May require working in a cooler environment of 35°- 46° F.

Salary may vary depending on factors such as confirmed job-related skills, experience, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case. Sales Positions are eligible for a Variable Incentive.

The pay range for this position is as follows:

$18-$24
