Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Safely operate striping machines, including thermoplastic applicators, melters, and tape machines. 

  • Apply various traffic markings (centerlines, lane dividers, arrows, crosswalks, curbs, parking stalls, etc.) with accuracy and attention to layout specifications. 

  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections 

  • Mix and prepare paints or thermoplastic materials, ensuring proper color and consistency. 

  • Set up, operate, adjust, and troubleshoot striping guns and spray systems for clean, precise lines. 

  • Load and unload equipment and materials; maintain inventory of paint and beads. 

  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper traffic control in work zones. 

  • Work collaboratively with crew members to ensure efficient and high-quality results. 

  • Will need to complete daily JHA’s and safety reports when necessary. 

  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment. Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.  

  • Keep tools and equipment in good condition by performing routine maintenance on equipment (cleaning, refilling paint, checking pressure systems, etc.). 

  •  and reporting any issues to supervisors.  

  • Collaborate with other team members, project managers, site personnel, owners, to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.  

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization at the site, including proper disposal of waste and debris.  

  • Record daily activities, work progress, and any issues encountered during construction projects.  

Qualifications & Skills 

 

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.  

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. CDL license is a plus. 

  • Must be able to travel within the continental United States. 

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions.  

  • Basic communication skills to follow instructions, report issues, and collaborate with team members.  

  • Willingness to learn and take on new tasks, with a proactive and positive attitude.  

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow directions from supervisors. 

  • Flexibility to work on different tasks and adapt to changing work conditions as required.  

  • OSHA 30 card is a plus but not required. Will be required to pass the OSHA 30 exam. 

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment 

 

  • Occasionally required to walk a long distance and stand for long periods of time.  

  • Occasionally required to bend, stoop, or kneel.  

  • Occasionally required to operate equipment. Must be certified.  

  • Occasionally required to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds or more on occasion.  

  • Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts.  

  • May be exposed to extreme heat or cold depending on the location and phase of the project.
