Role Summary:
Production Supervisors direct activities within the operations team as it relates to production, inventory management, and quality. These highly motivated individuals ensure efficient production while promoting and working safely within established policies and procedures.

Work hours: Mondays to Fridays from 6 am to 4 pm.

Location: Beaumont, TX.


Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all shop personnel to ensure we work safe and efficient on their individual tasks.
  • Make sure shop personnel and leads are working off the priority list that the Master Scheduler posts.
  • Take care of any issues that arise during daily activity in a timely manner.
  • Post weekly schedule per work load every Monday morning.
  • Ensure all your direct employees perform their Safety training on time.
  • Make sure all your direct employees perform their 8 required observations (2 per quarter)
  • Perform mid and end of year reviews for all your direct employees.
  • Back up and Support Master Scheduler
  • Back up and Support QRC Manager
  • Maintain production tracking on all pump repair jobs
  • Weekly Production Meetings and Lead Meetings
  • Reports and Open Orders Projections
  • Manpower, plant, equipment and scheduling analysis
  • Continuous improvement of projects - Key Account coordination - Customer interface in support of sales team to facilitate Order Intake
  • Expediting - Additional coordination or administrative support as required
  • Personnel Management with hands on Continuous training and development of pump mechanics, pump shop coordinators, and manual machinists
  • Attend and contribute to management team meetings. And QBR's
  • Be an example of adhering to the company’s core values and objectives.
  • Be the face of the company with all service operations in customer interactions, questions, and issues.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Team management or supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge in assembly and machining processes.
  • Production planning in different work centers.
  • Management of KPIs (utilization, efficiency, productivity, scrap, rework).
  • Rotating equipment experience.
  • Advanced computer skills (Excel, ERP/MRP)
  • Excellent communicational skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

  • BS or BA Degree in relevant field.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools (AMEF, VSM, 6's, SMED, etc).
  • Experience with ISO-9000-14000
  • Desirable knowledge of welding standards (AWS, ASME)
