The District Leader is responsible for the overall success of their district (all Colorado stores). The District Leader (DL) is responsible for cultivating an environment of genuine customer connection, building strong teams and directing all activities required to drive sales and maximize results in the district.
Key Accountabilities: Sales Performance, Profit Performance, Talent (quality and succession plans), Brand Leadership
Owns profitability and business results for district:
Directs all activities required to achieve sales, inventory, payroll and operational goals within a geographic market.
Challenges and develops Store Leaders to accomplish objectives.
Sets clear expectations, manages priorities, and monitors progress in achieving company goals.
Forecasts and analyzes business trends to impact results.
Serves as a brand ambassador and ensures a customer and associate centric culture across all channels.
Ensures maurices customer service standards and programs are learned and modeled.
Builds multi-channel business and maximizes tools to better serve the customer.
Attends external events / creates external networks as a way to spread the word about maurices and “live” one of the company’s core values of community support.
Ensures the continued vibrancy/success of his/her region, maurices through talent acquisition and management.
Assesses, develops, educates and mentors store leaders in all areas of responsibility.
Fosters a positive, motivating and challenging working environment by inspiring field leaders and capitalizing on individual strengths and talents, retains top talent to build bench.
Prepares and conducts performance assessments, recognizes performance gaps and coaches associates to take appropriate action. Holds store leaders accountable for business results.
Selects recruits and hires strong leaders; has solid succession plans in place at all times and ensures store leaders receive a thorough onboarding.
Maintains operationally strong stores and execute company directives.
Coaches store leaders on standards for effective execution of workload planning, scheduling and all operational standards.
Ensures stores meet visual presentation expectations and are clean and shoppable for our customers.
Organizes, delegates, prioritizes and ensures leaders meet deadlines.
Trains and follows up on operational and asset protection strategies in order to improve productivity and reduce shrink.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
Retail Management experience required with multi-store supervisory experience preferred.
Must have a strong interest in fashion and product knowledge.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Business and financial acumen including strong analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to motivate and challenge teams to achieve results.
Strong problem solving/conflict resolution skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
Diligence and the ability to persevere in the face of resistance or setbacks.
Basic skills in Microsoft Office.
Unique Working Conditions:
Extensive travel required (70%)

This candidate will be home-office based/remote, working within our Smart-Work guidelines, and would ideally be located centrally in our district near Colorado Springs or Parker.
The compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. The range of pay budgeted for this role is: $95,000 - $110,000 annualized, with additional incentive compensation and benefits.
This position is eligible for a monthly incentive compensation based on district performance.
