Position: Design Director, Footwear
What you will do:
A day in the life of a Design Director at Altra looks a little like this.
The Director, Footwear Design is responsible for designing and understanding run performance culture and the needs of those runners. This candidate is comfortable in ambiguity, can set a creative vision that inspires and motivates the design team, and be an excellent cross functional partner. The ideal candidate will be passionate about running and elevating Altra’s position through industry changing product that emotionally connects with runners and brings best in class design and detailed craft.

What success looks like:
A visionary leader who can bring a future vision to life in our products and build an emotional connection with runners who buy Altra. This leader will be an excellent communicator, and be open, honest and transparent with the team. They will truly understand what it means to collaborate and build something as a team all while leading a team of various designers and inspiring them to create great product together.
What do you need to succeed?
We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 8-10 years of experience, with 1-2 years of supervisory experience required.

Hiring Range:
$172,800.00 USD - $216,000.00 USD annuallyIncentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
