Overview:
The Suicide Prevention Therapist is responsible for implementing youth suicide awareness and prevention efforts through the Center for Suicide Prevention and Research. This clinician consults with providers, families, community partners, and schools regarding best practices in suicide prevention. Primary job responsibilities include 1) implementing evidence-based suicide prevention programs such as the SOS Signs of Suicide program in schools throughout Central and Southeastern Ohio; 2) conducts suicide risk assessments and safety plans as part of school-based suicide prevention programs; 3) provides suicide prevention trainings with schools and community partners; 4) maintains a small clinical caseload using evidence-based treatment for youth presenting with mood and anxiety concerns.

Education Requirement:
Master's degree from an accredited university or professional school of Counseling, Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy, required.
Licensure Requirement:
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, peers, and community representatives.
Experience:
Experienceproviding and managing culturally appropriate and trauma-informed behavioral healthcare to children, adolescent and families, required.
Physical Requirements:
