Summary:

The Revenue Cycle Reporting Analyst is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and actionable analytics to support finance and revenue cycle operations. This role works closely with revenue cycle leadership, finance teams, payer relations, and operational stakeholders to develop standardized, ad hoc, and self-service reporting related to claim denials, claim edits, HFMA key performance indicators (KPIs), productivity and other performance metrics. The analyst plays a critical role in transforming complex revenue cycle data into clear insights that drive operational improvement, financial performance, and regulatory compliance. In addition, this position supports the construction of data models in the organization’s enterprise data warehouse and analytics platform, leveraging Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. The Revenue Cycle Reporting Analyst contributes to data quality, documentation, and governance standards while continuously improving reporting capabilities. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, an understanding of healthcare revenue cycle workflows, and the ability to collaborate across clinical, financial, and technical teams to support data-driven decision-making.

The starting annual salary for this position is $91,298 and this can include full comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

1. Master's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, management information systems or a related field; or
2. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, management information systems or a related field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time software development experience; or
3. Associates degree in computer science, engineering, data science, management information systems or a related field and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time software development experience; or
4. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma with a diploma or certificate in a computer science, or related field and the equivalent of six (6) years of full-time software development experience.  

NOTE: Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.

The ideal candidate has practical experience with healthcare revenue cycle analytics, including claims processing, claim edits, denials analysis, and revenue cycle workflows. Familiarity with HFMA key performance indicators and experience supporting denial trends, root cause reporting, and quality metrics are preferred. The candidate should be able to interpret financial and operational data and translate findings into actionable insights for finance and revenue cycle stakeholders. Strong working knowledge SQL is required, including the ability to write and maintain moderately complex queries to support reporting and analysis. Experience validating data, reconciling results to source systems, and identifying data quality issues in claims and financial datasets is expected. Proficiency with Power BI is required, including building and maintaining clear visualizations and reports for finance and revenue cycle users as well as working with semantic models and DAX measures. The successful candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, effective time management, and the ability to handle multiple requests concurrently. Clear communication skills and experience collaborating with finance, revenue cycle, and IT partners in a healthcare environment are essential
