Job Title: CQI Business Partner

Location: Kirksville, MO/Hannibal,MO/Quincy, IL Remote (MO & IL residents only)
Department: Continuous Quality Improvement
Employment Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.

Position Overview:

As a CQI Business Partner, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving data-informed, results-oriented improvements across our programs and services. You’ll collaborate closely with regional leadership and system support teams to enhance service quality, mitigate risk, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Acting as a strategic change agent, you’ll guide operational leaders through process redesign, performance evaluation, and value-based care initiatives—all with the goal of improving outcomes for the individuals we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between regional leadership and CQI functional teams.

  • Monitor and analyze key quality indicators to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant service documentation.

  • Define and track measurable outcomes based on evidence-based practices; develop improvement plans when standards are not met.

  • Lead process improvement initiatives using tools like project charters, discovery sessions, and redesign strategies.

  • Develop and implement quality improvement systems with meaningful metrics that reflect improved functioning and quality of life.

  • Provide timely feedback and actionable recommendations to leadership based on performance data.

  • Conduct quarterly reviews with program leadership to assess trends in client, employee, and stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with Risk Management to analyze incident data and communicate trends to leadership.

  • Facilitate quarterly Quality Improvement Meetings with local leadership and CQI teams.

  • Support leadership in implementing corrective actions from CQI, compliance, or operational reviews.

  • Assist in audit preparation, site reviews, and accreditation processes.

  • Promote Trauma-Informed Care through policy, environment, and documentation improvements.

  • Evaluate service delivery sites/platforms for adherence to quality standards and initiate corrective actions as needed.

  • Recommend policy and procedure updates to senior leadership.

  • Facilitate change management to ensure consistency across service lines.

  • Partner with Compliance and Billing to conduct quarterly file reviews and follow up on deficiencies.

  • Contribute to the development of training and educational materials for direct service providers.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Vice Presidents.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in healthcare compliance, HIM, quality management, risk, clinical/counseling, or related fields.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; coursework in computer applications and business practices preferred.

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Quality & Safety, Business, Counseling/Social Work, or related field preferred.

  • Certification or experience in quality and project management (Lean Six Sigma, PMP, etc.) and familiarity with CARF standards preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient in data analysis and common office software.

  • Excellent communication skills across diverse teams.

  • Understanding of social determinants of health and their impact on client wellbeing.

  • Knowledge of Brightli system operations and program regulations.

  • Ability to lead, evaluate, and coordinate services effectively.
