As a Mobile Crisis Specialist, you will provide on-call and mobile crisis response services across multiple communities, delivering both face-to-face crisis assessments and telephone-based interventions. You’ll collaborate closely with crisis teams, community partners, and law enforcement to ensure individuals in crisis receive timely, compassionate, and appropriate care.

📞 Crisis Response & Intervention
Serve as an on-call and mobile crisis responder, providing immediate support to individuals in crisis.
Conduct telephone and face-to-face crisis assessments, determining risk levels and appropriate interventions.
🤝 Collaboration & Coordination
Work closely with Crisis Team members, law enforcement, and emergency personnel to ensure safety and effective care coordination.
Partner with community providers to connect individuals and families to ongoing supports and treatment.
🛡️ Risk Assessment & Safety Planning
Evaluate the severity of crises and coordinate stabilization, hospitalization, or follow-up referrals as needed.
Develop and implement individualized safety and crisis stabilization plans.
📑 Legal & Compliance Navigation
Understand and navigate legal processes, including guardianship, custody, and involuntary commitment procedures.
Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation for all interventions and client contacts.
📅 Professional Growth & Accountability
Participate in required meetings, trainings, and supervision to maintain clinical competency and compliance with agency standards.
Adhere to all agency policies, procedures, and quality assurance requirements.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a behavioral health or related field, and completion of a practicum or one (1) year of experience in a behavioral health setting.
CPR/First Aid Certification and CPI Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Strong knowledge and skills in crisis intervention, suicidality assessment, and safety planning.
Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to assess and triage individuals experiencing crisis situations.
Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and clinical judgment.
Ability to work independently and adapt to dynamic, fast-paced environments.
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients and professionals both face-to-face and by phone.
Prior to completion of probationary period, must demonstrate competency in crisis response, legal procedures, and collaboration with law enforcement.
Must meet driver’s license, insurance, and vehicle requirements when using personal or company vehicles for business purposes.
