Job Overview:

The Nurse Manager will serve as a member of the nursing leadership team.  This individual will be responsible for the daily management needs of their assigned team of nursing and medical assistants.

What you will do:

  • Perform supervisory duties of front-line nursing and medical assistant staff.
  • Assist in interviewing and hiring all applicable departmental nursing and medical assistant staff per departmental needs. 
  • Precept or delegates training for new hires, ensuring appropriate training & onboarding is complete.  
  • Meet with staff regularly for departmental needs and updates.
  • Conduct check-ins and annual performance evaluation with supervised staff.
  • Communicate with clients regarding medication questions & needs.
  • Implement team development and training on an ongoing basis.  
  • Complete chart audits on supervised staff.
  • Develop and document employee counseling memos & corrective action plans for supervised staff in coordination with the Director of Nursing, and Human Resources.
  • Provide feedback to staff as necessary for growth & development of roles within the clinic locations they provide supervision.
  • Work in conjunction with other clinic nurse managers to ensure staffing at all sites is appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • RN or LPN in Missouri 
  • One year of supervisory experience (preferred).
