Job Summary:

You will oversee residential activities, contribute to developing therapeutic environments, and help model positive behavior for clients. In this position, you will assist the Clinical Team in various treatment procedures, ensuring the safety and therapeutic needs of clients/patients are met. The role includes important responsibilities such as supervision, orientation of clients, and documentation of treatment progress, all while fostering a supportive community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily activities of clients/patients, ensuring adherence to program expectations and communicating pertinent behaviors to the treatment team.
  • Assist in orientation of clients/patients regarding rights and rules.
  • Collaborate with trained Behavioral Health Technicians to ensure medication policies are strictly followed.
  • Document relevant client activities occurring during shifts related to their progress or behavior.
  • Screen and monitor detox clients to meet safety and recovery needs as applicable.
  • Provide transportation for clients as needed.
  • Participate in the interview and hiring process for Behavioral Health Technicians.
  • Assist in training and supervising new Behavioral Health Technicians.
  • Facilitate scheduled meetings for Behavioral Health Technicians.
  • Assist with staff schedules and provide coverage for vacant shifts.
  • Prepare educational materials and group curricula as needed.
  • Perform duties of a Behavioral Health Technician as required.
  • Facilitate behavioral interventions during crises to de-escalate situations.
  • Ensure compliance with documentation standards following State Regulatory/CARF guidelines.
  • Complete mandatory training within required timeframes, obtaining 36 hours of training every two years.
  • Facilitate recreational and educational groups as scheduled.
  • Complete annual evaluations for direct reports within designated time frames.
  • Show commitment to the company's long-term and short-term goals.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, psychiatric nursing, or a closely related field;
  • OR
  • High School education or General Equivalency Diploma; AND
  • At least two (2) years of responsible employment history.
  • At least one (1) year of supervisory responsibility is preferred.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a background check, including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint check.
  • Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.
  • Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.

Physical Requirements:

  • ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift.
  • Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods.
