Are you an experienced, Registered Veterinary Technician with a passion for mentorship, patient care, and team development? VCA Briargate Veterinary Clinic is seeking a strong, motivated supervisor to join our growing team and help guide the next chapter of excellence in our hospital.

Located in the Briargate neighborhood of Colorado Springs, our clinic is a well-established, fast-paced practice known for its loyal client base and reputation for delivering high-quality, compassionate veterinary care. The Briargate area is one of the city’s most desirable communities, offering beautiful views of Pikes Peak, easy access to the Air Force Academy, and close proximity to parks, schools, shopping, and family-friendly neighborhoods.

In this role, you’ll work side-by-side with hospital leadership to support daily operations, elevate patient care, and foster a positive, productive environment for our technical staff. You’ll have the opportunity to lead by example, train and mentor fellow technicians, and implement protocols that help the entire hospital operate at its best.

The ideal candidate will bring the following leadership skills and abilities:

  • Strong clinical and medical knowledge.
  • Excellent customer service and client communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Human resources knowledge, including supervisory experience.
  • Proven ability to schedule, organize, and manage staff effectively.
  • Familiarity with sales and marketing techniques to support hospital growth.
  • Goal-driven mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and remain effective under high-stress, fast-paced, and shifting priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, present, and implement ideas clearly.
  • Confidence in directing workflow on the floor to ensure efficiency and quality patient care.
  • Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and developing associates.
  • Experience in recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and disciplinary processes.
  • Ability to uphold and reinforce hospital policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Confident in de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution.

Registered Veterinary Technician Skills:

  • Surgical preparation and assistance.
  • Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
  • Dental prophylaxis and oral radiographs.
  • Diagnostic radiology.
  • In-house and send-out laboratory testing and sample processing.
  • Venipuncture and blood collection.
  • IV and urinary catheter placement.
  • Pharmacology knowledge with proficiency in medication calculations (including CRIs), accurate dispensing, and safe administration
  • Compassionate handling and care of patients.

Education and Experience required:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Registered Veterinary Technician license.
  • Prior supervisory experience.

This position pays $24.00 - $28.00/hr, dependent on experience, education, certification, etc.
