The salary range for this position is dependent upon experience, ranging from $103,939.20 to $129,924.00.
Job Summary
The Supervisor – Gas Operations Technical Services is responsible of supervising the daily activities of personnel involved in leak surveys throughout the Southern Connecticut Gas service territory. The supervisor will ensure that all activities are completed in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, thereby maintaining the safety and reliability of our natural gas system. You will be responsible for conducting proactive and reactive inspections, troubleshooting issues, and directing the daily activities of both company and contract personnel as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise, coach and mentor contractors and union personnel performing maintenance and operations of natural gas distribution systems. Track Leak Surveyor Operator Qualifications status, equipment, training, etc. Monitor inspection status to include compliance performance and quality. Aid Gas Operations and Leak Survey Manager in process improvement, to include procedure writing, application implementation, equipment testing and training, etc. Maintains accurate records, working with all other Gas Operations departments to locate deficiencies and submit corrective documentation. Reviews leak report records for accuracy and completion. Provides training and feedback where errors are identified. Available after hours, as dictated by the on-call schedule, to respond to gas emergencies and aid/direct crews to remediate hazardous circumstances. Supports regulatory reviews and audits of system records and respond to regulatory data requests.
