VCA Wingate Animal Hospital is a busy 3 doctor practice that sees a mix of small animal and exotic patients.
Location: Englewood, Colorado
Schedule: Full-time preferred | Part-time opportunities may be available

Pay Range for this position: $16.00-20.00/ hr based on experience
About the Role
As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll be an essential part of our care team, supporting veterinarians and technicians in delivering high-quality medical services. You’ll play a hands-on role in both patient care and client communication, always with a focus on compassion and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Service: this will be a cross trained position, meaning you will be capable of working at the front desk as well as in exam rooms
Exam rooms: you will obtain a TPR and history to present to the veterinarian, then assist the veterinarian in the exam room to provide any necessary treatments
Patient Handling: not only will you provide restraint for the veterinarians during an exam, but you will also assist the technicians with sample collection, diagnostic testing and treatments
Record Keeping: accurately maintain all patient records
Housekeeping: work with the team to maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the hospital
Pharmacy: know the different medications, how to fill and go over directions with clients
Radiology: assist the technicians in obtaining diagnostic radiographs
Laboratory: know how to obtain and submit samples
Patient monitoring: during surgery and in post-op recovery

Previous experience in a veterinary setting preferred
