Mary Washington Healthcare’s Gastroenterology practice in Fredericksburg, Virginia, is seeking PAs and NPs to join our growing practice of eleven physicians and eight advanced practice providers. We’re looking for energetic, compassionate, and motivated candidates that are committed to delivering exceptional patient care.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with a team of experienced GI physicians and APPs in a well-established and supported outpatient clinic. 
• Focus areas include colon cancer screening/surveillance, Barrett’s surveillance, plus bread-and-butter GI including GERD, dyspepsia, constipation/diarrhea, IBS, general hepatology such as fatty liver, hepatitis C and basic IBD
• Participate with inpatient GI consult rotations and occasional weekend coverage (shared among APPs)
• No nights or after hour calls 
• Enjoy a balance of independent practice and direct supervision by a highly qualified and supportive team  
• Structured onboarding, mentoring, and supervisory training from an experienced team that is tailored to prior GI experience and comfort levels

• EPIC EMR used in the Hospital and Clinic, gGastro and ProVation MD in the endoscopy centers
• Brand new and innovative Endoscopy Center with 4 procedure rooms supported by specialized endoscopy nursing staff
• Full endoscopy unit, with specialized nursing staff supporting full range of general and advanced procedures, including ERCPs, EUS, Stenting, Barrx radiofrequency ablation system, EUS guided liver biopsy, cyst gastrostomy, and Spyglass etc.
• Full-service GI unit with expertise for Capsule endoscopy, pH monitoring, Manometry, Endoflip, Fibroscan and more

Qualifications:

• Active NP or PA license in the state of Virginia or eligible 
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required
• 1 yr + experience in Gastroenterology preferred but not required; fresh grads are encouraged to apply as we have robust mentoring and supervisory training in place
• Ability to work with team and build strong working relation with health care team
• Demonstrate integrity, quality, adaptability, and desire to positively impact lives of our patients through compassionate care
