Overview:
0.9FTE, 36 hours per week, 7p-730a; every third weekend; holiday rotation
About our Unit:
16-bed, single room design unit for neonatal patients who no longer require acute intensive care. Patients are centrally monitored. Patient population of this unit will vary from convalescing pre-term infants to near term infants. Some diagnoses that may be found include Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, Hyperbilirubinemia, and feeding difficulties requiring evaluation. Patients will be followed by Neonatology service.
Typical patient characteristics include:
• Hemodynamically stable, Minimal oxygen support, Medication support does not include fluid boluses or vasopressors, Less frequent lab monitoring required (less than once per day with exception of glucose), Feeding support - oral, OG/NG feedings.
