Job Description:
Location: Serving Morgan County
Department: Recovery Services
Employment Type: Full‑Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
This is a newly created position due to growth within our Recovery Services team—an exciting opportunity to help expand access to care in Morgan County and make a real difference in people’s lives.

As a Co‑Occurring Disorder Counselor/Therapist at Centerstone, you’ll be a key member of a multidisciplinary team focused on person‑centered, strengths‑based care. You’ll provide therapy, support recovery goals, collaborate with families and community partners, and help individuals build meaningful, sustainable lives.
Provide compassionate, high‑quality mental health and substance use counseling using evidence‑based practices
Deliver co‑occurring services within a coordinated, team‑based care model (ACT)
Partner with individuals to set, track, and achieve personalized recovery goals
Create and update individualized treatment plans alongside clients and their support systems
Support crisis intervention efforts, including assessment and coordination of resources
Educate individuals and families on mental health symptoms, substance use, medications, and recovery strategies
Help individuals access community resources such as housing, employment, and supportive services
Facilitate skill‑building related to independent living, employment readiness, education, and self‑care
Collaborate closely with teammates, supervisors, and community partners
Maintain timely, accurate documentation using collaborative documentation practices
Provide telehealth services as needed
Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
Active Illinois licensure: LPC, LSW, LCPC, or LCSW
Qualified Addiction Professional (QAP) certification through the Illinois Credentialing Board, including one of the following:
CADC, CRADC
RADC or RADC‑P
CCJP, CCDP, CCDP‑D, CRAADC
Co‑Occurring Disorder credential
Strong clinical judgment, documentation skills, and ability to communicate clearly
Interest in program development and continuous improvement

Compensation
CADC: $22.00 – $22.50/hour
LPC or LSW (IL): $61,000 – $64,000/year
LCPC or LCSW (IL): $68,000 – $72,000/year
(Based on licensure and experience)
