0.3FTE- 12 hrs per week, day shift, every third weekend

Minimum pay- $19.10 per hour


 

Job Description Summary:


 

Monitors and records data from medical equipment to ensure proper functioning and patient safety. Responsible for equipment maintenance.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain appropriate heart rhythm tracing.
  • Recognizes normal heart rhythm, artifact, and life threatening heart rhythms.
  • Respond to all monitor alarms, report heart rhythm changes to RN or MD promptly.
  • Clean, maintain, and inventory all equipment associated with cardiac monitors and other equipment as assigned.
  • Precepts new employees, ability to educate other employees on correct usage of both telemetry and bedside monitors


Education Requirement:

High School Diploma or equivalent, required.


Licensure Requirement:

Certifications:

Current CPR certification (BLS-Health Care Provider), required.


Skills:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to identify abnormal rhythms and or changes in rhythms preferred


Experience:

Previous health care experience as a Nursing Assistant, Unit Coordinator, Medical Assistant, nursing student, EMT, Medic or experience with cardiology patients, required.
