Position Highlights

Spencer Hospital is a rural hospital located in northwest Iowa employing over 500+ employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.

Join our Home Health & Hospice team to provide care for local residents. This position is Monday through Friday with no weekends. Will need to drive personal vehicle and will receive mileage reimbursement. 

Responsibilities:

• Participates in the delivery of patient care services by providing direct and indirect care under the supervision of licensed personnel.
• Provides for the personal needs of the patient according to the established Plan of Care
• May also light housekeeping duties such as laundry, sweeping, emptying garbage, vacuum, wash dishes, mop floor, etc.
• Monitors patient’s physical & mental condition and provides for the ongoing physical needs of the client.

Requirements:

• Successful completion of a 75-hour CNA course
• Flexible, multitasker, demonstrates effective communication and assessment skills 
• BLS required or willing to obtain (In-house education provided)
• Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required

Schedule: 

• 48 hours per 2 weeks schedule (Part-time benefit eligible)
• 8 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday
• Schedule may fluctuate based on the needs of the department
