Brookings Health System is seeking a reliable, hard working Maintenance Worker to join our team to deliver the best possible care!

Compensation range for this position is $18.26 to $27.03 per hour, depending on experience.

This position ensures a clean, safe and properly heated and cooled facility and should have knowledge of construction, plumbing, electrical safety, and basic maintenance procedures. Must be able to multitask and respond effectively to constant interruptions while maintaining the highest level of customer service at all times. Some other duties include lawn care and operating snow removal equipment (i.e. pickup with plow, skid loader, front end loader) and janitorial work. A valid driver's license is required for this position and knowledge of any technological advancements in equipment and maintenance products preferred.
 


Shifts will be Monday thru Friday on a rotating schedule which include late evenings. This position will also require a rotating on call shift, which includes weekends. During the winter months, there will be the possibility for early morning shifts for snow removal.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • 0-3 years’ experience in facilities maintenance preferred.

  • Possess a valid driving license and capable of being covered by insurance.
