A Brief OverviewManages the Hospital@Home department, ensuring the delivery of high quality, safe, and efficient patient care. Plan, organize, and direct all department functions and activities and is responsible to establish goals, objectives, and standards of performance and to develop policies and procedures.
What you will do
- Responsible and accountable for the operations of the department in compliance with established standards, goals and objectives, for optimal patient services between the hospital and the home.
- Demonstrates positive collaborative relationships with hospital and in-home departments, individuals, groups, health facilities and referral sources, becoming the face of Avera@Home.
- Establishes operational systems to insure maximum resource utilization and financial performance of the clinical continuum of care.
- Responsible for customer relations, to include resolution of patient complaints, proactive communication with physicians, identification and referral of risk management concerns, and initiation of appropriate follow-up.
- Maintains current knowledge base of clinical concepts, use of evidence based practices to enhance patient care and services, reimbursement issues, and regulations applicable to the unit.
- Assists with appropriate action to assure that budget objectives are achieved and revenue and expense objectives are met.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and leading work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire
- 4-6 years nursing experience with working knowledge of medical/surgical patients
Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- Previous management experience.
