We are looking for a versatile, creative, and well-rounded mid to senior level mechanical systems
engineer to join our team to help develop next generation cancer treatment products. In this role, you
will have the opportunity to be a creative problem solver and own electromechanical components and
systems through to product release. You will use your experience in multi-discipline engineering within a
mature and regulated development environment to deliver safe and effective components to the clinical
market. The ideal candidate will combine their broad technical knowledge with project ownership and
responsibility at every phase of product development. You will collaborate and work together with a
multi-discipline cross-functional team, external and internal partners, and have a system-level view of
how your work impacts users at every level from manufacturing to service, to clinical use, and ultimately
our patients.
Job Description:
In this role, you will:
• Consult with architecture group in definition of design, and then lead cross-functional team and
suppliers to implement design
• Responsible for planning, requirements, verification testing, etc. of a workstream / subsystem
• Own component and subsystem development from origination and requirements through
testing and release to production.
• Analyze components and systems from a performance, reliability, and safety perspective, and
author necessary documents for regulatory submission.
• Conduct feasibility studies and characterization testing on new and modified designs.
• Guide support personnel and project collaborators in the preparation of detailed design,
prototype fabrication, design testing, and engineering documentation.
• Coordinate and plan cross functional deliverables across disciplines and teams.
What you will have:
• Senior level will have Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 8+ years or Master’s with 6+ years.
• Experience with FMEAs, risk hazard analysis, design for safety, and a system-level approach to
multi-disciplinary components
• Experience translating technical input into detailed mechanical requirements and verification
test plans
• Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Clear written and presentation communication skills across teams and leadership levels
What will set you apart:
• Experience with electromechanical systems including sensors, motor control, electronics
packaging, and firmware or software control of hardware.
• Experience performing engineering calculations and analysis using manual and software tools.
• Proficient in performing complex analysis by FEA, sizing of motion components and fasteners,
thermal, acoustics, sensors, and control systems.
• Experience creating detailed mechanical and electrical designs using custom and off the shelf
components.
• Experience with dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), materials and finishes, fabrication
processes, and assembly processes.
• Experience with Design for X (DFX): manufacturing, assembly, service, usability, etc.
• Proficiency in Creo (Pro-E) and SolidWorks
• Experience with large capital-equipment scale R&D engineering projects
• Experience with 510k medical device development

The base pay range for this position is:

$155,900 - $214,357

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
