We are seeking a Regional Category Manager – Primary & Secondary Packaging to lead a highly complex, business‑critical sourcing portfolio across the APAC region.

This is a senior procurement role responsible for developing and executing regional category strategies aligned to CSL’s global sourcing strategy. You will drive value through strategic sourcing, supplier collaboration, risk management, and innovation—partnering closely with senior stakeholders across Operations, Quality, Finance, and Manufacturing.

This role will be based in Broadmeadows in a hybrid capacity with 3 days on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional category strategies aligned to global procurement and business priorities.

• Lead strategic sourcing activities including tenders, negotiations, and contract management for primary and secondary packaging.

• Drive total cost of ownership, supply assurance, quality, and innovation across the portfolio.

• Manage Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) for critical suppliers, including performance reviews, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.

• Build strong partnerships with senior internal stakeholders and external suppliers across the region.

• Provide strategic insights and reporting to senior leaders on category performance and value delivery.

• Support budget planning, market analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

You are a commercially astute procurement leader with experience managing complex, regional or global categories. You are comfortable influencing senior stakeholders, leading negotiations, and balancing cost, risk, quality, and supply continuity.

You will bring:

• A degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business or a related field (postgraduate/MBA highly regarded).

• 4+ years’ experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement leadership preferred

• Experience leading regional tenders and implementing sourcing outcomes for direct materials.

• Strong supplier relationship and negotiation skills, ideally within regulated or complex industries.

• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive measurable value.

• Experience working across multiple regions and time zones.

• A mindset focused on integrity, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or a regulated manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential.
