Reports to:

Senior Commercial Banker

  • Supports the Sr. Commercial Banking Manager by contacting customers with maturing or matured loans/lines of credit for financial information to underwrite.
  • Exercises sound judgement, innovation, and creativity in the handling of customer relationships to mitigate risk.
  • Provides a friendly, yet professional level of customer service to both external and internal customers.
  • Learn regulatory guidelines and adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Complies with all applicable banking regulations and BSA/AML program, requirements, and controls. 
  • Identifies potential fraud or risky deposits and takes the appropriate action to prevent loss.
  • Complies with all department and bank policies and procedures.
  • Performs teller transactions such as withdrawals, deposits, transfers, payments, and cash advances, with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assisting with checking & savings transactions, loan payments and account inquiries.
  • Maintains cash drawer limits and balance daily.
  • Completes service requests such as address changes, adding signers, ordering checks, and closing accounts.
  • Informs customers of self-service options and demonstrates digital banking products to customers.
  • Assists with administrative and other bank-related activities while not assisting a customer.
  • Demonstrates skills and behaviors necessary to achieve growth of deposit solutions, referrals to business partners and sharing successes to build customer relationships.
  • Acquires and deepens customer relationships through the identification of needs and by matching appropriate solutions through deposit growth activities.
  • Efficiently and accurately performs End-of-Day closing to include taking computer totals, scanning checks, balancing daily work and proving cash drawer.
  • Provides customers with information on all aspects of deposit accounts and bank services including rates, service charges, restrictions, and other relevant account information.
  • As time allows, learn the process and procedures of mortgage, consumer and commercial loans and credit and portfolio management.  This will include understanding the regulations, policies and guidelines.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
