The Production Supervisor leads 2nd‑shift operations for Formulation, Filling, and Packaging, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient production. The role coordinates training, reviews and approves documentation changes, and partners with the Production Manager on staffing needs.
A key focus of this position is identifying and driving continuous improvement by analyzing performance data, eliminating inefficiencies, and implementing sustainable process enhancements. The Supervisor also prepares required reports and supports team performance through coaching, development, and performance reviews.
Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
Manage daily schedules to ensure timely execution of Formulation, Filling, and Packaging activities.
Develop and maintain departmental SOPs, Batch Records, and procedures.
Review and approve Batch Records, SOPs, and change notifications.
Prepare monthly operational reports, including metrics and productivity updates.
Support process development and optimization to improve efficiency and product quality.
Perform production or direct labor tasks when required.
Continuous Improvement & Strategic Initiatives
Lead cost‑savings, inventory reduction, and process optimization initiatives.
Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
Contribute to business strategy planning for staffing, equipment, and space needs.
People Leadership & Development
Oversee employee training programs and maintain training documentation.
Manage hiring, interviewing, and onboarding of departmental staff.
Conduct performance reviews and support employee development planning.
Foster a responsive, high‑service culture for internal and external partners.
Compliance, Quality, and Safety
Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements (U.S. and international) and escalate issues as needed.
Implement departmental components of the company’s Affirmative Action Plan.
Support EH&S programs, conduct inspections, ensure corrective actions, and promote safety awareness.
Ensure adherence to all business and departmental policies.
Additional Responsibilities
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirement:
Education: High school diploma (required). Bachelor's degree (preferred)
Min of 3 years of manufacturing experience required
Medical Device or Pharma industry background is preferred.

Salary Range Information
$85,900.00 - $141,800.00 USD Annual
