Organization:
OtolaryngologyJob Summary:
The ideal Voice Speech Pathology candidate would be an individual with strong interpersonal skills and an interest in participating in ongoing clinical research with experience and depth in diagnostic and rehabilitative voice care..
At its inception, The Vanderbilt Voice Center was the brainchild of Dr. Robert Ossoff, and was the first of its kind in an academic setting. Though many have opened similar facilities based on this model both in and out of academia, our program remains the largest of its kind in the world and boasts both a national and international referral base. We have assisted a former US President, internationally acclaimed singers of country, pop, bluegrass and other genres, national news broadcasters, internationally renowned opera singers, stars of Broadway musicals and stage plays, national radio and television personalities, ministers, teachers, attorneys, and many others. Despite having had the privilege to care for these publicly recognized professionals, our core mission is to support every individual, as voice resides at the center of quality of life, livelihood, and is the instrument we use to communicate each day with family and friends.
Our team has grown into a nationally known multidisciplinary outpatient care center staffed by five laryngologists, two laryngology fellows, and eight full time voice speech-language pathologists. This individual will be a fully integrated member of our Voice Center team, our Head and Neck team and our Craniofacial team and may expect daily collaboration with each of them, as we are embedded within the larger Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center on the main hospital campus.
