SUMMARY

The Foreman Geopolymer/Manhole Rehabilitation is responsible for leading a field crew performing geopolymer and manhole rehabilitation projects. This role oversees daily jobsite operations to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and company procedures. The Foreman provides hands-on leadership to crew members while coordinating site activities, equipment usage, and production targets. Working closely with Project Managers and field personnel, the Foreman helps ensure projects are delivered on schedule while maintaining the highest safety and workmanship standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide front-line leadership and direction to a field crew performing geopolymer application and manhole rehabilitation activities.
  • Coordinate daily work activities including jobsite setup, material preparation, rehabilitation installation, and site cleanup.
  • Operate and oversee the operation of specialized equipment used for geopolymer systems, mixing equipment, and rehabilitation tools.
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with project specifications, municipal standards, and company quality requirements.
  • Monitor and control material usage, mixing ratios, and application procedures to ensure proper installation and performance of rehabilitation systems.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure safe work practices including confined space entry procedures, atmospheric monitoring, and traffic control where required.
  • Continually inspect work performed by crew members to ensure quality, safety, and production targets are achieved.
  • Identify and resolve jobsite challenges, coordinating with Project Managers or Supervisors when required.
  • Maintain accurate daily job reports including production records, crew time sheets, safety documentation, and project updates.
  • Coordinate with municipal inspectors, clients, and other stakeholders while maintaining a professional company image.
  • Ensure company vehicles, equipment, and tools are operated safely and maintained in good working condition.
  • Assist estimating with site investigations at time of bid when required to provide feedback for time estimating, traffic control, bypass and other site restraints.
  • Other trenchless technologies may arise within the services portfolio. Assist operations in setting up new services. Help learn and train crew members with new products.
  • Maintain a positive public image of the company through professional conduct and safe operation of equipment and vehicles.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience as a Foreman or Crew Lead in underground construction, trenchless technology, pipeline rehabilitation, or related work preferred.
  • Experience with manhole rehabilitation, geopolymer, grouting, or similar rehabilitation methods considered an asset.
  • Ability to lead and motivate field crews in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Strong commitment to safety and experience working within safety-focused construction environments.
  • Ability to work out of town with approximately 75% travel.
  • Ability to work overtime and flexible hours as project demands require.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to enter and work in confined spaces.
  • First Aid, CSTS, TDG, Confined Space, and WHMIS certifications considered an asset.
  • Clean Class 5 driver's license with Air Brake endorsement preferred.
