Job Duties:

Geisinger Gastroenterology is seeking an Advanced Practitioner to join our team at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania.

 Join a large and dynamic gastroenterology and hepatology department!  You will collaborate with other advanced practitioners, gastroenterologists, transplant hepatologists, advanced endoscopists, fellows, nurses, pharmacists, and other members of the team.   Patients seen in our clinic include general GI, advanced endoscopy, inflammatory bowel disease, hepatology and weight loss.  A unique aspect of this position will be assisting in the clinical management of patients who will be undergoing a new innovative endoscopic weight loss procedure (endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty).   Functions as a patient advocate in the medical care system as confidant, advisor, and liaison between patients, families and physicians.  Opportunities for continued education, teaching, and research as well.

Reports clinically to the Chief AP/GI and administratively to Operations Director.

 

This role will also have a presence at our Geisinger Medical Center platform in Shamokin, Pennsylvania.
