Waste Connections is looking for motivated individuals to join our team in Somerset, KY as Drivers in Training. This is a great opportunity for those looking to start a career in commercial driving. We’ll cover the cost of CDL school and provide paid training to help you earn your Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

Schedule:

• Start Time: 5:30 AM
• Hours: ~10 hours/day
• Days: Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in paid training and CDL school
• Learn to operate a garbage truck safely and efficiently
• Provide excellent customer service by maintaining clean and debris-free locations
• Perform vehicle inspections and complete daily documentation
• Attend all required training, briefings, and meetings

Requirements:

• Must have a clean driving record
• Must be able to obtain a CDL permit within first 30 days of employment
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs repeatedly and work outdoors in all weather
• Must pass a background check and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in transportation or logistics is a plus
• Customer service experience
