The position is a Day Shift working Monday through Friday 6am-6pm with occasional Saturdays working 50-55 hours a week.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

• The work environment is an outdoor landfill setting. The employee will work near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibrations. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Areas are clean, ventilated, and well lit.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Operates Heavy Equipment Excavator & Wheel Loader at the transfer station to safely, efficiently, and effectively move, load, and manage waste materials in support of daily operations

• Must demonstrate ability to learn and independently operate equipment used at facility

• Must become proficient in the care and use of all site specific, facility required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)

• Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily

• Able to work outside in all weather conditions

• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. repeatedly
