Bucknell University seeks an Assistant Catholic Campus Minister to join our team. The ideal candidate is a vibrant, student-centered Catholic professional who is passionate about building a meaningful Catholic community on campus. The Assistant Minister will inspire and guide students to actively engage in their faith, fostering a dynamic and supportive environment for spiritual growth.Job Duties:
The position reports to the Director of Religious and Spiritual Life, and supervises a Program Assistant.
On campus, student facing position.
Pastoral Care: Meets regularly 1-1 with students to provide pastoral care, spiritual guidance, and wise counsel.
Programming: Organizes a full array of Catholic Campus Ministry (CCM) programming including social life, spiritual enrichment, and service to the broader community.
Liturgy and Worship Coordination: Collaborates with the Catholic Chaplain (an Ordained Priest and employee of the Harrisburg Diocese) to attend and lead religious services including Mass, Rosary, Bible Study, Holidays, and more.
Leadership and Administration: Leads regular meetings of the CCM staff, executive team, ministry team. Communicates with students, staff, faculty, alumni, parents, and the broader community and maintains a visible and accessible presence.
Volunteer Coordination: Coordinates the work of CCM volunteers and liaises with the broader Catholic community (especially in the Harrisburg Diocese).
Non Essential Functions: The job description's listed responsibilities and tasks are not exhaustive, additional non-essential tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Education: Masters Degree
Professional Experience: Two or more years
Education: Doctoral degree in Divinity, Education, or related field.
Professional Work Experience: Four or more years in advising, counseling, or related field.
Professional Certification or License: 1 Unit Clinical Pastoral Education.
Knowledge Areas and Skills: Budget management; Spiritual direction.
This position is part of a vibrant, Multi-Faith Chaplaincy, reports to the Director of Religious and Spiritual Life, and supervises a full-time Program Assistant. Bucknell also has a Catholic Chaplain, who is a Priest of the Harrisburg Diocese, assigned to Bucknell University. The Diocese owns a Newman House directly adjacent to campus (and our other RSL spaces) which is a home-away-from-home for our Catholic Community.

59,760.00-74,700.00The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.
