PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Administrative Assistant III shall serve and shall fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost. This position performs a broad range of administrative duties for the Mid-level, Direct Response, and Digital teams.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Administration – 95%

  • Provide support to the Mid-level, Direct Response, and Digital teams. Including, but not limited to, managing Senior Director’s email and calendar, preparing expense reports, preparing meeting agendas and materials, and maintaining task lists.
  • Maintain files (electronic and paper) for quick and easy access.
  • Exercises independent judgment within agreed-upon limits.
  • Manage partner emails and cases in Salesforce sent in response to all fundraising campaigns.
  • Regularly fulfill physical and digital mailings for acquisition and fundraising teams.
  • Maintains and stocks proper supplies for all fundraising functions.
  • Assist in the execution and logistics of other fundraising projects on a regular or seasonal basis.

Additional Responsibilities – 5%

  • Make recommendations for improvement or to resolve issues.
  • Makes decisions and takes action in absence of manager.
  • Participate in Navigators’ on-site learning and development events, Cultural Development and Diversity trainings, or other non-Navigator developmental events as appropriate.
  • Participate in annual processes, such as the organizational Plan and Progress Review (PPR), Engagement Survey, Reaffirmation of the Navigators Code of Conduct, Calling-Core Values-Vision, Statement of Faith, Driver’s Authorization, and other releases as required.
  • Submit time worked on a weekly basis through the Workday Time Tracking system.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Spiritual: Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators.

Experience: At least three years of administrative experience.

Technical Knowledge & Skills: Microsoft Office proficiency. Intermediate to advanced computer skills.

Communication & Leadership: Good interpersonal and communication skills including verbal & written, to create understanding and build strong working relationships required. Ability to take initiative and anticipate the Manager’s needs on both a daily basis and for events/meeting requirements. 

Education: HS Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Physical: Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.

Compensation Range: $17.73 - $24.99 per hour
