Purpose within the Organization:
This position will provide overall support for general day-to-day operations of the GCU Esports Facility. Ensuring that the facility is maintained throughout the year for both student life events & supporting the Esports Facility Supervisor.
Responsibilities Related to Purpose:
Ensure continuous and consistent front-desk operations & assisting members of the Facility.
Maintaining facility cleanliness and equipment inventory.
Opening and closing preparations for operations for the Facility.
Interacting and presenting the Facility and the affiliated GCU Esports organization information to campus visitors, administrative guests, and regular campus tours.
Assisting in basic hardware and software repairs related to facility operations.
Assisting the Esports Facility Supervisor in requested tasks which can include but not be limited to event planning, live operations of events, and acting as a liaison for the GCU Esports Club.

Qualifications:
Sociable and amicable - applicants must be able to greet students and other guests entering the facility and engage in prolonged conversations as needed.
Responsible - applicants should be capable of working independently as needed and make suitable judgments to best assist the Facility and the student body using the facility.
Preference towards applicants with prior or current involvement in Esports or knowledge about the video game industry, culture, and trends.
Preference towards applicants with prior customer service experience, leadership opportunities, or volunteer work.
Availability to work for a three to four hour period schedule anytime between 8:00 am to midnight on weekdays and/or weekends.

Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy.
Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:
Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
